Season 1

Breaking Bad is a dark emotional comedy which was premiered on the AMC Network on 20^th January 2008. The first episode was called Pilot. Season 1 was supposed to air a total of nine episodes; however, due to the strike of the Writers Guild of America, only seven episodes could be filmed. The Pilot episode introduces Walter White, a middle aged chemistry teacher, who is diagnosed with Stage III Lung Cancer. He has a wife, Skyler who is pregnant and a handicapped son named Walter White Jr. In order to ensure financial security for his family, after his death, he starts preparing a drug named meth. In this world of crime he is joined by his ex-student Jesse.
